Strathmore's housing runs from the older core near downtown and Westmount through the growth of Lakewood, Hillview, Crystal Ridge, Brentwood and Wildflower. The older stock is on second or third-generation roofing with original wood fascia; the newer subdivisions are reaching the point where builder-grade shingles come due. We handle asphalt shingle replacement, siding refreshes in vinyl or James Hardie, seamless eavestroughs and detached garage builds across all of it.

Strathmore's exposure is prairie exposure, and it is the most significant thing about working here. There is nothing between this town and the horizon in most directions, which means sustained wind rather than occasional gusts. Roofs need fastening specified for uplift, wall assemblies take driven rain and snow directly, and eavestroughs collect wind-blown debris from fields rather than from trees. Soffit panels that would sit quietly for thirty years on a sheltered lot can work loose here, which is why we specify heavier gauge and tighter fastening.

Hail is a regular event. Storms that track east out of Calgary carry through Chestermere and Langdon and reach Strathmore with plenty of energy left, and the agricultural land around town takes the same hail the buildings do. We photo-document damage to the standard adjusters accept, meet your adjuster on-site, and prepare the scope and measurements your insurer needs. On most approved claims you pay only your deductible.

The Town of Strathmore has its own development and building permit process for re-roofing and for detached garage construction, and Wheatland County's rules for parcels outside town differ again. We handle whichever applies as part of the job.

Farm and acreage work is a large part of what we do out here, and it is genuinely different from town work. Shops, barns, machine sheds and outbuildings carry big simple roof areas with long uninterrupted runs, they are almost always the most neglected structures on a parcel because nobody stands under them, and they take the same hail and wind the house does. We inspect the whole site in one visit and quote everything together — sending a crew thirty-five minutes out to look at one building is inefficient for everyone.

The other rural reality here is access and staging. A loaded materials truck has to be able to reach the building, and on a farm that can mean a long unpaved approach and a yard that changes with the weather. We plan staging and delivery around that up front rather than discovering it on install day, which is what keeps rural pricing sensible and the timeline honest.
